Love the detail on the jacket. I once read that the gold embroidery so traditionally found on Indian garments is called zardozi-embroidery and that it is done with a very fine golden thread called zardi. The embroidery work is also done by men, sitting cross-legged while they do the embellishments. Is this custom still popular in India, or has it also been commercialized?
